Some of these function are repeated with buttons located in the bottom side of the screen 1. Project drop-down list Allows setting the parameters on INtools. Allows the import of PSR files into the software. Browser Allows creating module by module only formats printing or saving data Save as. Mix of information from several tables will be possible with incoming releases.

A software improvement has been provided in order to obtain the possibility to save the text of the headers as modified before the SAVE AS. Other functions The other functions listed belong the drop-down list are either duplicated within Buttons or useless from operator point of view. Module drop-down list Allows selecting the various software modules. These functions are repeated in the Buttons topside.

Allows to select the Index functions as feasible with the Buttons bottom side. Some additional functions can be selected: 1. Delete tag number Allows to delete tags from Index including all related data in the other modules P.

Delete loop Allow to delete the loop and its tag numbers including all related data in the other modules P. Move tag Allows moving one tag to another unit W - Mod. View drop-down list Allows to edit the instrument index in browse mode 1. Reports Allows to select and print reports standard from INtools. No custom of these reports is possible 1. Actions drop-down list Allows associating tags to loop. Function equal to the button within the bottom icons 1.

Preference Allows defining the way to work during instrument index editing. The various parameters allows the execution of repetitive tasks in easy way. Function equal to the button within the bottom icons. Tables drop-down list Allows the definition of the default instrument types and the definition of the relevant profile.

The instrument types are divided into the following process functions: General; Flow; Level; Pressure; Temperature; Analyser; Control valve; Safety valve. Any modification to the instrument types executed from this menu will be reflected to all items with the same profile existing in the database. To define the instrument types the following steps shall be executed: 1.

Edit Instrument Type screen The data found in the Instrument Type table is used to identify and classify the Tags, their profile and process function type.

When the instrument type is included in a new tag, the description is automatically selected in the Instrument Type field of the above screens. From the Table menu, select the Instrument Type menu item. The Edit Instrument Type screen opens with the Process Function Type field blank by default showing instrument types not associated to any function type.

If the Profile command button is checked without selecting a Process Function Type, then only Instrument Types that do not belong to a particular Process Function Type category will be displayed. The process functions are fixed by the software and cannot be modified. Profile button Click to open the Tag Number Profile screen and define all parameters or options to be attributed to the instrument type. The actions done from this screen will modify all the instrument profiles of the instruments of the same profile presents in the instrument index.

W - Mod. When this box is active, the Panel, the Cable and the Connection Type drop-down lists become available. When this box is active, the Spec Name drop-down list becomes available. Attributing a specification Profile to the instrument type allows creating individual data sheet one per tag number.

If the specification shall be used for multi-items definition, the Specification checks box shall remain unchecked. Select a Specification name from the available options. The items available in this drop-down list depend on the Process Function Type previously defined in the Edit Instrument Type screen.

To assign a Hook-Up profile: 1. Select the Hook-Up from the Hook-Up drop-down list. Location profile This table is used to specify general or specific locations within the plant where the tag exists or is installed.

Status Allows defining the status of the tag. Could be helpful for revamping projects. This information is visible in the formal instrument index printout. Location Allows defining the physical location of the instrument. Line numbers Allows defining the line type piping class and line number of the unit to be attributed to the tag.

INtools does not accept defining more than one diameter per each line number. Manufacturer Allows defining default instrument manufacturers to be attributed to the instrument types.

Allows defining default instrument models to be attributed to the instrument types. Loop process variables Allows defining the loop process variable to be used in order to group the instruments by their definition.

Allows defining the function type of the loop indicating; controlling; etc.
