It is important to plan the installation before proceeding following the procedures and advice contained in this manual. Plan the position of each part of the alarm system and the cable runs. Detectors should be sited with particular regard to the degree of coverage required. All of the system wiring is connected directly to the panel. The Accenta panel may be concealed inside a cupboard or loft space, but it must be installed within the protected premises and in a position which is convenient for a mains supply. This will enable the system operator to check that the system is setting correctly.

The baseplate may be fitted directly to the wall using screws and wall plugs. If these are not appropriate for the wall then use suitable alternative fixings. This will automatically exclude the availability of the zone from programs and normal security applications. Operational in Unset and Set, the PA circuit will cause a full alarm condition when activated.
PA is indicated on the control panel or RKP. Terminal TADB are for connection to the external siren. The supply is present at all times and may be used to supply a total load of mA. These terminals have been provided for connection to remote signalling equipment such as a digital communi- cator, or speech dialler. Where the communicator is powered from an external source, not the panel and the outputs are being used without relays, the panel and external power supply will require a common negative supply rail.
I will just make it a bit more user friendly though: Press "prog" button and release, enter the old pin number 4 digit , press "8" button, enter a new 4 digit code then press "reset" and voila it is changed!!! After months of having a duff button, I have finally changed the number. Easy when you know how! Vernon December Accenta 8 Mini - can you please advise how I can completely reset the system in order I can stat from scratch- At present no "zones" are lite although it accepts my password it does not "bleep" on entry or exit. My tenant messed up the configuration and now I find the instruction manual appears to have gone walkies. I have to admit when it was first installed I could not follow the Instruction Manual anyway so if anyone can reply with a step-by-step I would be most grateful.
